Jake Mossman began playing the guitar and composing at a young age, starting with R&B and Rock before settling on Classical and Flamenco guitar.  While completing  a BFA in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of New Mexico with Michael Chapdelaine, Jake began to study Flamenco dance accompaniment under the guidance of Eva Enciñas-Sandoval, Pablo Rodarte and Maria Benitez.  After several trips to Madrid, Jerez & Sevilla to study Flamenco, Jake moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he studied with Adam del Monte, taught Flamenco at Pasadena City College and performed regularly in tablao settings. Jake and his family lived in Las Cruces, NM from 2005-2021, where he produced Flamenco Fridays, a popular monthly Flamenco concert series, featuring renowned Flamenco artists from the US and Spain. Jake now lives outside of Asheville, NC where he performs with Sonos Poetica, Flamenco Appalachia, and co-produces the Asheville Flamenco Festival.
